The transportation system is considered the most important element of urban infrastructure and therefore, contemporary urban research precise more emphasis on the well-managed sustainable transport system. Accessibility and connectivity are two important tools regarding urban mobility, trip generation and modal choice as well as transportation management. The assessment of transport suitability is now the central part of transport management. From these perspectives, this study has been focused on the patterns of urban mobility and modal choice on the basis of transport accessibility and suitability. The Jamshedpur city and five adjoining urban areas are selected for assessment. The GIS-based accessibility modeling and network analysis have been used in this study.
