The aim of this research was to prepare a novel composite matrix membrane using electrospinning technique. Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) copolymer was used for the development of mixed matrix with different loadings of local natural zeolite. Pristine ABS and zeolite-filled ABS underwent solution casting-evaporation to produce thin films for characterization purposes. Using Scanning Electron Microscopy, micrographs of ABS with different loading of zeolites showed homogeneous dispersion of the molecular sieve from host polymer. Meanwhile, electrospun mixed matrix fibrous membrane of pure ABS and with different loading of zeolite was developed using electrospinning technique. Dispersed zeolites were mixed in ABS-acetone solution until visco-elastic melt composite was acquired.
