Adi: Thank you both so much for joining us for this conversation about digital politics. We are both extremely excited as your work has been an inspiration for both of us. Our first question concerns the field of digital politics. We would like to invite you both to reflect on how the field of digital politics has evolved over the last decade or two. What do you see as the most important and most challenging development in digital politics?

Athina: The field of digital politics has been evolving probably already for three decades if not more if we take into account the convergence of technologies involved, but more strictly starting from the World Wide Web invented by Tim Berners-Lee in 1990.
