Biographical notes: Joakim Björkdahl is Associate Professor in the Department of Technology Management and Economics at Chalmers University of Technology. In 2011/2012 he was a visiting scholar at Stanford University. His research is on strategy, innovation and business models. He has wide experience of working with strategy, business development and valuation. He has published several articles on business models in refereed journals including Research Policy.

Magnus Holmén is Associate Professor in the Department of Technology Management and Economics at Chalmers University of Technology. As a research fellow at the Australian National University he analysed the Australian system of innovation, across sectors.
