简介
Electrical Impedance Tomography has shown potential to becoming a powerful imaging technique with the capability to monitor industrial process and clinical conditions without harmful effects. However, EIT suffers from lack of spatial resolution towards the center of the imaged space whereby anomalies on central regions far away from boundary electrodes are largely undetectable. In this paper, a self-sufficient ad hoc EIT sensor to perform EIT measurement from any locality within the process vessel is evaluated using phantom tests. The experiments have been conducted in tap-water and saline of 10 g and 20 g salt–for homogeneous and inhomogeneous with anomaly inserted. Results shows that anomalies that are centrally located are well detected using self-sufficient ad hoc EIT sensor.
