In order to reduce the traffic load in cellular network and improve the data rates for users located in an indoor environment the Femtocells are used to solve the poor indoor coverage problem. It represents a cost-effective solution compared to other solutions such as Picocells and distributed antenna systems. However, if the signal-to-noise ratio is high then UEs can receive good throughput. For this reason, the manner in which Femtocells are deployed is very important and crucial. In this work, we propose a mathematical model to optimize the positions of Femtocells in enterprise buildings taking into account the power transmission for each Femto. GA (Genetic Algorithm) is used to address the problem of Femtocells placement by minimizing the number of Femto and maximizing indoor coverage.
