Mobile ad hoc network (MANET) is a group of mobile nodes that are formed dynamically by an autonomous system and communicates with each other without any supporting infrastructure. These networks are vulnerable to a number of security threats due to their unique features such as open nature, lack of infrastructure, node mobility and limited physical security of the nodes. Hence designing a secure routing protocol has become a popular research topic. Bio/Nature-inspired routing algorithms (Swarm Intelligence) such as BeeAdHoc have been offered for developing routing algorithms for MANETs. In this paper, the security vulnerabilities of BeeAdHoc are investigated and then a security framework, FBeeAdHoc, which utilizes fuzzy set theory and digital signature is proposed.
