简介
The development of internet technology requires very large bandwidth. Semarang University, which has the second largest number of PTS students in Central Java, of course requires a great capacity for bandwidth as well. The Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education’s standards state that students need bandwidth above 0.75 Kbps. This bandwidth is also for the use of lectures conducted at Semarang University. With limited bandwidth quotas, a decision support system was created to manage the allocations of bandwidth in each department at Semarang University, prioritized according to need. This decision support system was built using a hybrid method, namely the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) approach, where AHP was used for the weighting process. The aim of using this method was to reduce decision makers’ subjectivity, while SAW was used for ranking processes; the result was the final preference value. The best alternative was chosen based on the highest preference value. The results obtained from this study included the determination of the priority scale for faculties that have bandwidth requirements so there is no mistake in determining the allocation of bandwidth.
