简介
I. ABSTRACT GNU Radio and, more generally, software radio have been increasingly used for applied radio research and prototyping. This includes the deployment of GNU Radio software on embedded or otherwise non-standard general purpose processors. It is important as we consider operation on these new architectures that we develop an effective methodology for characterizing and discussing the performance of software radio applications. In this paper we present several domain specific performance tools to help measure and analyze the performance of software radio blocks and algorithms within GNU Radio. It is our hope that these will help provide direction for future optimization work as well as helping to inform the future design and hardware selection tasks of future software radio practitioners using GNU Radio and the Vector Optimized Library of Kernels (VOLK) library.
