The nonlinear effects in optical fiber such as self-phase modulation (SPM) and cross phase modulation (XPM) that lead to impairments of the optical signal transmitted in wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) systems in single mode optical fiber. In our analysis the pump-probe experiment was simulated numerically using OptiSystem, mat lab and graphic packages. In the simulation many factors such as signals power, fiber length, channel space, line code was discussed. Our results shows dependency of SPM, XPM on input power and channel space, increasing the input power will lead to increase XPM effect at constant channel space at low channel space the XPM effect will dominants.
