The digital transformation of organizations is a trend in the global industry, and is embedded in a context of technological development that has been referred to as the fourth industrial revolution. However, scientific research about the theme is still in its infancy, and few works are available to guide potential research efforts. With the objective of elucidating current research trends, we present a systematic literature review (SLR) with respect to the digital transformation, specifically in the context of operations. The following aspects were assessed: number and trend of publications over the years; important authors, research centers and publishing outlets; relevant published works which yield great impact in the literature; and insights gathered from an analysis of commonly used keywords.
