A technology that has shifted the entire paradigm of computer applications during the last decade is undoubtedly, the Blockchain technology. The purpose of inventing Blockchain was to develop a technology in which data is immutable, confidential and located on a de-centralized network. This technology was first used to build a cryptocurrency application, which is just one of many applications developed using Blockchain technology. Since, most of the emphasis has been on the money and finance related services, now the vertical industries have also started to implement Blockchain. This study contributes to review the opportunities of using Blockchain technology in vertical industries.
