When a passenger books to travel or ferry his chattel with an airline, partiularly, when a reservation has been confirmed, a duty is placed on the air caner to airlift the passenger or his goods to the agreed destination, the former presenting himself or his goods. In such circumstances, a duty is placed both in contract and in law for the carrier to operate according to schedule. This paper brings to focus, the duties placed on the service provider where the flight is delayed or cancelled. The objective is to examine the effectiveness of theremedies available for the protection of the consumer.
