Analgesic drugs Danish databases were analysed for prescription of chronic paracetamol use during pregnancy (1996–2008) to see if it had led to an increased risk of asthma in offspring (Ane Brigitte Andersen et al. Aarhus University, Denmark; Abstract 166). A total of 976 out of 197,071 (0.5%) children born during this time period had been prenatally exposed to maternal paracetamol use.
