Electronic business (e-business) is an important strategic tool that attracts many companies in turning their traditional business strategy to e-business. Nowadays, adoption of e-business is rapidly growing among business organization throughout the world. Organizations involved in e-business not only limited to large companies but also includes small and medium enterprises (SMEs). It is mainly due to the availability of the internet technology and the benefit of information and communication technology (ICT) to enhance their business. Furthermore, e-business systems are cost effective that makes the adoption of this technology much easier. However, some SMEs are still underexploited on the potential of e-business technology. The aim of this paper is to study the e-business technology adoption for SMEs and the various key factors that are needed to be adopted by SMEs into their business operations.
