简介
© L'Harmattan Issues concerning internal security at the EU scale have given rise to numerous pieces of research at the crossroads between different approaches and lines of questioning (theories of European integration, security studies, immigration policymaking, etc.). Beginning with a discussion of the strengths and limits of classical integration theories, this introduction then proposes instead concepts and theoretical tools developed within the sociology of public policy in order to understand the making and implementation of policies in this issue area. In so doing, stress is laid upon the plurality of governmental and non-governmental actors involved, the diversity of their involvement in internal security policymaking, and of the 'public problems' they respectively have contributed to constructing and promoting. Three dimensions are developed in particular: logics of (de)politicization, normative and cognitive framings and the temporality of internal security policymaking.
