Computer aided diagnosis (CAD) is an upcoming field of research. This paper deals with the automatic detection and classification of fractures in long bones using various image processing techniques and machine learning algorithms. The paper primarily focuses on diagnosis of x-ray images. Previous works have taken up the problem of detection of fractures but to our best knowledge we are one of the first to address the classification problem.
