Case-based reasoning (CBR) has been demonstrated to be a natural technique for solving problems in many complex domains. Efficient representation and retrieval of cases are major concerns when building a large CBR system. This paper presents a CBR system for the domain of homeopathic remedy selection. The knowledge is represented in a hierarchical manner using eXtensible Markup Language (XML), which helps in accessing the system over Internet. An application of Artificial Intelligence in e-commerce is demonstrated.
