简介
Air quality has been observed to improve during the COVID-19 pandemic as countries executed community lockdowns that restricted mobility during the pandemic. This paper discusses the Mobility over Air Quality Index (MAQI) which aims to gauge relative changes in levels of air pollution generated by changes in population mobility. MAQI combines mobility indices produced by Google with NO2 readings obtained from Earth Observations as a metric that can be visualized over time. We discuss the development of MAQI from the recent EO Dashboard Hackathon sponsored by NASA, ESA, and JAXA, recent developments in the project, and directions for further study.
