This chapter defines stakeholders and their contribution to value cocreation and extends the discussion to the relevant areas of business management. It also focuses on how stakeholder relationship management guarantees the design of sustainable strategies and, finally, presents a general conclusion of the discussions. In particular, this chapter provides an overview of the contexts which are considered in the rest of this book’s chapters and which offer insight into the management of businesses operating in various sectors of economic activity that take or wish to adopt a proactive approach to the triple dimensions of sustainability.
