To explain qualitatively the experimental data on field dependences of magnetization in contacting ferro- and antiferromagnetic media, a simple model is proposed. In this model the thin ferromagnetic (FM) film of a finite width with a strong anisotropy of the 'easy-plane' type is investigated in the continuous approximation. It is shown that there may exist collinear and canted phases of the FM layer in the system. The domains of the parameters (exchange interactions, FM layer thickness and amplitude of external magnetic field), in which heterogeneous FM states exist are found, and the solutions for magnetization distribution are obtained. The dependences M(H) are constructed for the limits of 'thin' and 'thick' FM layer. The possibility of asymmetrical dependence is demonstrated. The data are compared with the results obtained within the framework of a simpler two-layer FM model.
