In this paper we introduce an interactive LED based adaptive luminance lighting system (LEDall). With the interactive LEDall interface it is easy to find a subjectively optimal illumination. LEDall uses a genetic algorithm when searching for the optimum. The fitness function is a human operator that selects the fittest illuminations to the elite or gives fitness points. There could also be a feedback loop where the fitness could be evaluated for example with illuminometers. LEDall uses LED lamps due to their superior controllability properties.
