The present study examines the effects of regulation by mandatory minimum quality standards on subjects’ valuation of goods with different (pro-social/sustainability) quality levels. The three treatment groups are manipulated between subjects by controlling valuation set and framing, namely a three good valuation set treatment (low, mid, high quality) and a two good valuation set treatment (mid, high quality) with two levels of framing. The framing levels are no frame and a regulation frame. The effects of the manipulation will be examined on subjects’ incentive compatible valuation of the goods with mid-and high-quality levels.
