Design of foundations is of utmost importance in any civil engineering project. The design is characterized a qualitative design if fulfills two things ie safety and serviceability. In order to do so, detailed geotechnical data of subsoil is mandatory. In modern era, there is considerably increase in the construction of high rise buildings and long bridges especially in urban areas which had to be supported on deep foundations.

Lahore the second largest city of Pakistan is known for its high rise structures and historical buildings. A detailed assessment of subsoil of Lahore had been performed along with detailed study of pile characteristics in subsoil of Lahore. In order to do this effectively a program written by EG Balakrisnan in FORTRAN language had been amended as per subsoil conditions of Lahore which is based on load transfer method to predict load carrying capacity of soil. The said program had been compiled to generate load settlement and load distribution curves.
