Richard B. Darlington is Professor of Psychology at Cornell University. He holds joint appointments in the fields of Education, Public Affairs, and Human Development and Family Studies. He has been at Cornell since he received his Ph. D. in 1963 from the University of Minnesota. Professor Darlington is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He has published most extensively on regression and related methods, on the cultural bias of mental tests, and on the long-term effects of preschool programs. An elementary statistics text, Behavioral Statistics: Logic and Methods, by Darlington and Patricia M. Carlson, was published by the Free Press in 1987.
