Due to increasing number of battery operated devices, Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) technology is gaining significant attention in Internet of Things (IoT) and 5G networks. When the WPT device is operated to charge LoRa end device in the LoRaWAN network, it acts as an intentional or unintentional jammer to reduce the Received Signal Strength (RSS) variation around LoRa end device, which in turn reduce the randomness in 16 bit DevNonce, down to the generation of constant DevNonce thus, leading to Denial of Service (DoS) attack. In this work, we investigated the RSS variations in the vicinity of LoRa end device when WPT devices are operating around it, by performing the stochastic analysis. The stochastic analysis is used to characterize the LoRa end device's RSS randomness in context of the transmit power of WPT device in addition to RSS difference threshold.
