Herein we present a case report of a 2-year-old male child who suffered an ileocecal intussusception not reduced by pneumoenema. At the apex of the intussusception there was a 2 cm tumor. The pathologic diagnosis was myoepithelial hamartoma. In a review of the literature we could find no previous reference to myoepithelial hamartomas located in distal ileum causing intussusception in children.

Zusammenfassung

Es wird der Fall eines zweijährigen Knaben mit ileozökaler Invagination vorgestellt, welche nicht durch einen Einlauf mit Luft reponiert werden konnte. Die Ursache war ein Tumor von 2 cm Größe, der sich histologisch als myoepitheliales Hamartom herausstellte. Myoepitheliale Hamartome sind im Kindesalter außerordentlich selten. In der Literatur konnte kein Fall einer solchen Geschwulst gefunden werden, die zu einer Invagination geführt hätte.
