The present study was conducted in order to analyze the effects of affective, continuance and normative commitment, which are the dimensions of organizational commitment, of a group of employees, on their job performance. Forty nine employees of the Kahramanmaras Provincial Directorate of Youth Services and Sports, which is a rural institution, part of the organization of Turkish sports, participated in the study. As a result of analysis of the three dimensions of organizational commitment, there was a continuance commitment dimension in the institution. According to the institutional status of the employees, a significant difference in the job performance among managers, civil servants and other employees with respect to the outside of work socializing variable was found. It was found that there was a significant positive relation between job performance and organizational continuance commitment and normative commitment, but there was not a significant relation between affective commitment and job performance.
