Applications of Location-based Services (LBSs) have driven the increasing demand for indoor positioning technology. Motivated by the wide deployment of WLAN infrastructure, the WLAN signal strength based positioning has become one of the superior positioning techniques used in indoor environment, and meanwhile the corresponding error bound analysis has attracted much attention due to its significant guidance meaning in practice. In this paper, we propose a new error bound analysis approach for indoor WLAN positioning based on the information-theoretic view, namely Error Bound Analysis towards Indoor WLAN Positioning under Colored Gaussian Noisy Channel (EPOCH).
