This paper provides the modeling and the power control for a Wind/Photovoltaic (PV) Hybrid System (HS) using Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG)-Direct Current (DC) link topology. Unlike the conventional DFIG connected to AC (Alternating current)-bus, the proposed DFIG-DC link topology employs a diode bridge rectifier to ensure the connection between the stator and the DC-link and a Voltage Source Inverter (VSI) to ensure the connection between the rotor and the DC-bus. First, the topology of DFIG-DC link is presented. Meanwhile, the DFIG output power is regulated using the field-oriented control (FOC). The standard tests EN 50530 are used to demonstrate the capabilities of the MPPT strategy.
