New technologies, the exponential growth of knowledge, the changes in the organization of work, the constant social change, the internationalization of professional training, are some of the characteristics of this knowledge society, which poses new training needs to university institutions. As it is known, they are also the support of a continuous claim for quality training stated by public organizations, professional associations and accreditation agencies all over the world. Moreover, the development achieved in information and communication technologies (ICT), makes new ways to approach the learning process possible.
In this context, one of the challenges to face by the university is to achieve a cross curricula up-to-date didactic approach developing and promoting resources, strategies and learning activities to develop the general and specific competences which society claims from our professionals. It is well known that the experimental training places a major role in the engineering education.
