The development of human capital is a crucial factor in the socio-economic growth of a country. As a result of russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, European countries, in particular those bordering Ukraine (including the Slovak Republic), may experience changes in quantitative and qualitative demographic characteristics due to the increase in the number of refugees. Migration processes are only gaining momentum over time, which may have a certain impact on the human capital indicators in the EU countries. In order to be able to track these processes, it is important to have an awareness of the existing state and tendencies of human capital dynamics in European countries.
