The present paper deals with the study of stone consolidants based on ethyl silicates. It is the 2nd part of a study on Edfu birth house investigating the deterioration phenomena, which affected its building materials along with the ideal methods and materials that should be used for conserving, restoring and strengthening its stone surfaces. Some tests were performed for studying the behavior of 4 consolidants based on ethyl silicates; Tegovakon V, Rhodorsil RC 80, Rhodorsil RC 70 and Eliosil W119. The main goal of these tests was to estimate the consolidants efficiency and investigate the changes of chemical characteristics and physio-mechanical properties of stone samples collected from our site before and after consolidation, and after artificial aging.
