Genome editing, or genetic modification, is a form of genetic engineering that replicates, extracts, modifies, or replaces DNA in living cells. Once investigators can sequence and interpret DNA, artificial intelligence systems do so quicker, cheaper, and more reliably, and gain insight into the necessary genetic code that organizes all organisms’ behaviors. With all this information, the researcher will make informed choices about what in future an organism may be vulnerable to, what kind of alterations would source numerous diseases, and how a plan could be implemented in the future to tackle them. Given that individual conditions acquired during life are primarily determined by unique genetics, a greater understanding of the human genetic makeup over the years has been of interest – the complexity and value of the activities that were to be assessed impeded our progress.
