Reliability, and safety are considered as the indispensable twins during the adoption of the cloud computing environment since their breaches lead to catastrophic issues in poor resource management and unreliable service quality. To be specific, Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack is determined as the most vulnerable threat in the cloud space as it lowers the ability of the predominant resources’ for preventing their optimal utilization. The advent of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) is estimated to wide open the feasibility in preventing DDoS attacks in the cloud space.
