Workplace bullying comprises harmful acts that take place in the course of a person’s employment. Studies have confirmed that the impact of workplace bullying may be damaging for individuals and organizations. To date, the majority of studies of workplace bullying have been carried out in Western countries, located in Australasia, Europe and North America, that have similar value sets to each other. In Arab countries, research into aggressive behaviours in the workplace started in the last decade but there is a dearth of enquiry specifically into workplace bullying. As Arab societies have different value sets to those of Western cultures, it is possible that this different outlook may have an influence on workplace bullying.
