In-line synchronous modulation is an efficient method to regenerate an optical signal. However, as different wavelengths traveled at different group velocity in a same optical fiber, a re-synchronization of wavelength division multiplexed signals is necessary in order to regenerate simultaneously the different channels. 1 In this paper, we propose an application of four wave mixing (FWM) in a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) to synchronize two wavelengths at 10 Gb/s after propagation in a standard fiber of 30 km with a dispersion of 17 ps/nm/km. 2, 3
