The deployment of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) for control and process monitoring is of major concern today in automation industry. In this paper, we demonstrate the implementation of WSN for two different closed loop control systems. The Network consists of one ZigBee Coordinator (ZC) and two ZigBee Routers (ZR) s, connected in star topology. The system is controlled and monitored through C# based Graphical User Interface (GUI) in personal computer to which ZC is connected. Two remote nodes are Bi-directional DC Motor Speed Control Node which has an on-board controller and Temperature Control Node without any on-board controller. The major contribution of the research study is efficient development of WSN for closed loop control which rigorously decreases time delay between set-point and control action. The transient and steady state responses obtained practically, validate the simulations ensuring the effectiveness and real time implementation of wireless closed loop control network for industrial applications.
