简介
A Lot of research has been devoted to the exploration of systems development methods. Different strategies have been suggested for adaptation or configuration of methods. Very often these strategies are founded in the concept of method rationale, a concept that captures the value and goal base of methods. Ultimately methods can be viewed as reason based statements regarding target states, and as such they represent rationality. This paper presents a Ph. D. project, which aims to explore the rationality dimension of methods, using case studies, and generate theoretical elements that can be useful as a starting point in different areas of method application and research.
