The increasing popularity of Cloud computing as an attractive alternative to classic information processing systems has increased the importance of its correct and continuous operation even in the presence of faulty components. In this paper, we propose a fault tolerance model in cloud computing environments based on the levels of QoS provided to the customers. The proposed model aims to guarantee the continuity and the good functioning of the cloud platforms and at the same time to resolve the service level agreement (SLA) violations generated by the faults produced in these platforms. Service level agreement is a contract between customer and provider to specify the QoS provided, as well as the measures taken in the event of violations of the clauses of this contract. The results obtained from the experiments proved the effectiveness of the proposed model.
