Results: 38 patients (mean age 67.1 years) were included. Within the first 2h following ticagrelor LD administration, platelet inhibition was attenuated in both treatment groups. PRU at 2 h post-LD was not significantly different between fentanyl and morphine groups (173.3±89.7 vs. 210.3±76.4, p= 0.18). Similarly, the interaction between treatment group and time was not significant (Wilks lambda p= 0.56). Following ticagrelor LD administration, PRU levels were significantly lower at 4 h (90.1±97.4 vs. 168±74.2, p= 0.01) and marginally reduced at 6 h (79.3±89.2 vs. 122.2±80.3, p= 0.14) and 12 h (51.3±53.3 vs. 83.3±63.8, p= 0.11) post-LD in patients receiving fentanyl compared with morphine. Plasma concentrations of ticagrelor and AR-C124910XX at 6 h post-LD were higher in patients receiving fentanyl compared with morphine.
