Solar panels have gained significant popularity in recent years due to their ability to convert solar energy into electrical energy. These panels can be used either independently or as part of a larger solar system connected to the electricity grid. Despite receiving a massive 84 Terawatts of power from the sun, our planet consumes only about 12 Terawatts of power each day. To maximize the potential of solar energy, it is crucial to position solar panels perpendicularly to the sun. Therefore, the main focus of this study is to design an automatic tracking system that can locate the sun's position and move the solar panel so that it remains perpendicular to the sun for maximum energy conversion. The proposed system will use photoresistors as sensors and will consist of a light sensing system, microcontroller, gear motor system, and a solar panel.
