Fully general relativistic models of astrophysical sources are in high demand, not only since the discovery of gravitational waves emitted from merging stellar mass black holes (Abbott et al. 2016). The need for an accurate description of the interplay between strong gravity, matter, and electromagnetic fields is further highlighted by the recent detection of electromagnetic counterpart radiation to the coalescence of a neutron star binary (Abbott et al. 2017). Horizon Telescope (EHT) project, which allows direct imaging of hot, luminous plasma near a black hole (hereafter BH) event horizon (Doeleman et al. 2008; Goddi et al. 2017; Event Horizon Telescope Collaboration et al. 2019a).
