Due to the rapid development of mobile communication technology, everyone uses the mobile device to connect the Internet and then access all kinds of services. Nowadays, most applications are multi-media services. Thus, it is a big challenge that how to maintain the quality-of-service (QoS) and keep the connections under the mobility environment. Previously, many studies proposed host-based fast handover schemes, but these schemes are hard to be wildly used. This is because the mobile device has to support mobility function. Otherwise, the handover procedure cannot work. For solving this problem, in this thesis, we propose two network controlled handover mechanisms in mobile edge computing (MEC).
