The mobile cloud forensics has received a great deal of attention within the digital forensics community. Collecting potential evidence from the mobile cloud by applying forensically sound methods faces severe setback due to technological advancements. The latest forensic investigation tools and methods are inevitable to cope up with the increasing criminal activities on the mobile cloud platform. Thus, a forensically sound process is essential to develop critical methods for mobile cloud forensic investigators. This preliminary study presents a mobile cloud forensic process framework with the help of UML diagrams that primarily consists of identification, collection and preservation, examination and analysis, and evidence correlation and presentation phases.
