简介
Navigational structures are vital to any web-site to allow easy access to information. One way to analyze and access these navigational structures is with structural analysis which uses the fact that a web site can be viewed as a graph: pages are nodes and links are edges. Metrics can aid web authoring to create or improve sites making them easier to navigate. Identification of hierarchies make it easier to index the site while computations of reference nodes (those pointed to by other nodes) and measures such as compactness and stratum indicate the ease with which all nodes can be accessed and organized. We looked at all. edu. np web-sites and analyzed their structures to get an insight into how well-structured they are in general. Finally, we discuss how these metrics can be applied for improving Nepali educational information access and use.
