Healthcare-related resource management has been a challenge in view of varied requirements of the patients and effective resource utilization. COVID-19 pandemic is an example, which has brought to light the need for proper healthcare resource management and utilization. Few significant factors that aggravate the problem being size (resource, patient), allocation, response time, cost, etc. The work proposes an optimized approach for scheduling and allocation of the healthcare resources as per patient’s physical activity needs. PSO is as an optimized algorithm, which works among others on the concept of minimizing cost and make-span. Each entity in the problem is represented in multi-dimensional space containing a mapping of parameters like activities and its prioritized assignment.
