This research is about designing a Planar inverted F antenna (PIFA antenna) at a frequency of 2.7GHz using a combination of Shorting pin and Feeding pin to improve the Directivity. PIFA Antenna with and without Pins are used with a sample size of 20. By using HFSS simulation software Directivity(5.5196dB) and Gain(3.6495dB) of PIFA antenna is improved by using a Shorting pin and Feeding pin. Directivity of PIFA antenna using combination of Shorting pin and Feeding pin appears to be significantly better (0.9272dB) when compared with PIFA antenna without pins.
