In this paper mathematical model was developed to monitor, predict and control the effectiveness of sensor designed with the principle of ramp input response. The result obtain in the investigation demonstrate the usefulness of input ramp response in monitoring, predicting and controlling the separation of the distillate product from the reflux for effective performance evaluation of the distillation column. The model evaluated the impact of feed tray, reboiler and the reflux drum characteristic of the process upon the performance evaluation of the sensor designed of ramp input response. The result obtained illustrates the usefulness of the developed model in monitoring, predicting and controlling the distillate product separation from the reflux product from the distillation column.
