Medical ventilators can measure the gas mixture concen trations and the pressure of the gas sent to the patient during ventilation. Further, medical ventilators can change and/or adjust the gas mixture concentrations and gas flow rate of the gas sent to patient during ventilation based on received patient information and ventilator/ventilation information. Mixing vessels, also commonly referred to as" accumula tors', can be utilized to facilitate the mixing of gases and the management of gas delivery pressure.
